Any interest in a used ESS VT2-500 supercharger kit?

I'm considering an idea of moving to a cheaper car for the next 2 years and save up for something fancy

I'll post pictures and details soon. Once my car has the fuel pump issues sorted, you're welcome to come over for a test ride

Huh. Your car is fancy. What did you have in mind that you need to save up for.

Cars are a LOT like women.
They all basically work the same but some take more tinkering than others and that gets to be a bit of a pain.
Makes them fast however -
Biggest problem is you will often love a car because of what it looks like - but when your inside driving you can't see what it looks like

I love my car because of how it feels to drive it. The recent repairs are driving me crazy though. They're not supercharger related either. Electrics and fuel systems

Zstig,
You have a fancy car that can outperform and out handle pretty much anything you will see any day of the week.
Sort the gremlins and enjoy the fruits of all the hard work

I have been where you are many times and have sold up and moved on, looking back I wish I hadn't been so hasty to sell.

I totally understand the frustration with repairs and maintenance. Especially when ongoing and in a string of issues. Not fun. And really gets in the way of enjoying and using a car.

On the other hand, any high performance car is going to come with similar issues. Ferrari, you don't even want to think about what the repairs cost! Porsche? Pretty much the same thing.

What I'm saying is that, you may be trading one set of problems for a similar set of problems.

And, with your current set up, there isn't much out there that is going to outperform your car by a significant margin, and certainly not without significant initial cost.

There's really no cost savings here from any angle, and performance gains will be minimal. All IMO of course!

Now if you're bored with the Z4, and you want to move on to something different or interesting, like a Ferrari, or maybe GT3, or Atom, Noble, etc. I can totally understand that.

All of the above said, and depending on what happens in the next month or so, I might be interested in the S/C.

tbh could not have worded it better than this..... TOM FWIW, i too had a light weight battery a few years ago and this car would simply not get on with it, it would discharge in a few days, everything would constantly reset, their was always a new light on the dash.... the battery didnt live long at all and was not cheap (it was a porsche unit) i then swapped back to the oem unit and i havent had an electrical grumble since....In no way am i saying this is what your experiencing but its definitely sensitive to changes......

your going to have to spend serious money to get back to this performance level, and lets face it you swapped out the factory fuel pump which was working perfectly to an aftermarket unit that is duff, sadly sometimes shit like this happens.... Remember when my blower failed and my car was sat in the garage doing nothing, also the oil cooler leaks which mean't i had to strip the car down and fix myself right after paying 2500 for install???
sometimes shit happens, fix the car and keep it possible, however if you genuinely just want a change, then fair enough... i do think its fair to say that these FI setups are NOT the install and forget systems were led to believe, the cars need more maintenance and thing break much more... which imo is acceptable.

Thank you everyone for your interest, I will definitely consider selling this kit and my car based on the demand, but I will wait until April or May to make my decision. I realize that selling a convertible in the winter time is shooting myself in the foot. If the car doesn't break down by May, I will most likely keep it, I really DON'T want to sell it if I don't have to
