At full throttle, how long would it take to empty the tank?

If you had a long enough road to go full throttle and hold it there, how long would it take for the car to go completely empty? I was re-watching the Top Gear Veyron episode and it got me thinking.

I think your more likely to grenade the motor before you run out of fuel. But if it holds up I think you might have 30-50 miles till you run out.

There is no way you would grenade a well lubricated OEM S65 motor running at full throttle for an extended period of time.

I did a track day recently where I was nearly full throttle most of the day (big willow, CA). I filled the tank twice over the course of the day, driving roughly 100-120 miles total. The car is a total gas hog, especially when pushed.

I agree ... one only needs to find the longest and straightest road for that high speed and hope a tire will not blow ... that longest road can be found in Australia ... one word of caution you may have to slow down when you see a heard of kangaroos Mind you the engine might prematurely age quite a bit.

PS. State Central Cenneter Highway is a under construction highway from Brisbane, QLD to Perth, WA a non-stop road via Mt. Isa, Darwin, Broome, Port Hedland and finally finished up in Central Perth.
This road is expected to be around 8,500km long.

There is not a road long enough aside from a circle track. I think the engine would overheat if literally kept at 8400 rpms for 100 miles in a row without letting off!

S65 motor in stock form wont overheat at WOT, if oil level is adequate that is. Then again on almost all north-american roads the longest straight that you would be able to hold WOT is what 40-50kms long? I mean all out without haveing to let off.

On a fast track like Mosport GP or Watkins Glen I get about 50-55 minutes from a tank before the low fuel light comes on.
