Yes it is, but you have to set up your BMW Assist account with e-mail address then go to maps.google.com find your location, click send to BMW NA then put in your a-mail addy. Then it will pop un in your messages box under the BMW Assist menu then click the checkered flag and you're off to the races.

I think the OP is referring to google search, not google maps. My understanding is that if you want to use google search, then that is an additional set up and fee for use of the internet in your car.

Yes, I did try the Google map and the message to my car it worked.
My question was about the Google Search and it looks like I need to enable the additional cost option to use that.

BMW Assist Search (or Google search) requires a BMW Assist Convenience Plan subscription. This is in addition to the Safety Plan which is included for 4 years.

Does anyone here actually have the Convenience Plan? Just doesn't look worth it to me.

Yup you have to pay extra. I already pay for my phone which can do all of that and is always in the car with me. So for me $200/year isnt worth it. Now if it was $50 I might get it just for the "cool" factor.

I have it on my M3, it's not really worth it, but I had to try it for the "cool factor".
