Radio switching signals?

Just picked up my 2010 135 two days ago. It has the Professional system and when its in AM mode the signal is contantly switching between HD and standard signal. The sound changes when it does this(about once a minute or so) and its annoying as hell. Anyone else have this happen? And is there a way to stop it?

This happens to mine...but only when im listening to far off stations. I think its the car loosing the HD signal and then picking it back up as the signal strength stops.

Its happening with all my AM stations. Most of them from the City and have had a good signal from over the years. It just annoying when its flopping back and forth because the tone changes. I wish there was a way yo lock it in one or the other. BMW told me there isnt a way to do that. Thankfully it doesnt happen with FM.

there is an option on your deck that you can turn off the HD pref so it doesnt go from HD to std radio...etc.

I was just at the dealer the other day and I asked if that can be done. He said no. Idiot! Thanks, I'll do it tomorrow.

Thats really funny.

I wish that fuction went the other way around tho. It would be nice if I could say HD or nothing.

Hey Guys,

Having some HD radio issues here and want to disable the function until I can bring it in to the dealer. Whenever I listen to an HD station, the sound comes through very choppy. How do I disable HD functionality on a car with 09 iDrive?
