My 6th M: Individual Frozen Preciosa Red 2025 M4 Competition

I’ve been on basically a three year cycle with my BMWs, so for this one, my 6th M car (and 10th BMW overall), and likely the G82 that will carry me through to the next generation, I decided to pick out an individual color that is a touch different from what’s out there. I first saw Frozen Preciosa red a few months back while I was messing around in the Individualizer and it caught my eye. Though I’ve always been nervous to do a frozen paint, I was getting service done back in September, I saw a 2025 M4 in Frozen Brilliant white (over Fiona) on the showroom floor and I was really smitten. Then my CA for three of my last 4 M cars gave me a deal that I couldn’t pass up. Here’s the timeline:

Beautiful! Is it just a frozen version of Aventurine? Looks super similar. I know BMW will take one base color, make a frozen version and call it something else. Is that the case here or is it different?

Thanks. I think that’s the case, that’s what drew me to it, I really love Aventurin but I wanted to switch it up. It seems a bit lighter, but I think that’s just the way the frozen paint absorbs the light, rather than reflect it.

I have to admit, this maybe the best looking matte paint job I have seen yet. Wow! You mention your apprehension about matte paint. I am curious on your perspective at 6 months. I have also been on the fence about matte paint, but this color pulls real hard at me.

I’m going to do a matte PPF on the front bumper, but remind me in 6 months and I’ll show you what it looks like.

I found this, it seems to be a shade lighter than Aventurin?
