i7 Production week???

Looks like a lot of ICE 7's are on their way to eagerly waiting members.

Let's start tracking orders and status of i7 -

I had a production number for several weeks and while my garage status still shows - order received, the BMW Genius can see that i have Week 1 2023 assigned for production start.

Has anyone got a production week assigned for an i7?

Scheduled for may 2023… I ordered it three months ago..

The dealer was blowing smoke up my a$$ until i called BMWNA which was a huge help. I got a production number 5 mins later

The dealer I dealt with in (212) has a lot of trust to earn back

Thats really unacceptable. Dealers do vary a lot in quality and in how much knowledge they have but getting that kind of runaround that caused you to have BMWNA intervene, as you say, is a trust issue. But I don't know what you meant by 212. If that means Manhattan, and it is Manhattan BMW, they should really be ashamed because I think that is a BMW owned dealership. Then again they have some awful reviews online (I just looked).

I see your production date and my production number is 40,000 ahead of you (starts with 703XXXX). I was told by the dealer I should expect my i7 in late December or January. Anyone have any ideas?

Your car should already be in production (or close to it) if you are expecting it then. You should be able to enter your production number on MyBMW and track its progress.

My production is week 4. Last week of January. I believe anyone with a production week in January and delivery in possibly March will have some of the first i7's in the US.

Once you have your production number just call the BMW Genius line. They are very helpful, even more helpful than the dealerships. I did have to push my dealership to give me their top spot. I had the dealerships send me screen shots to show my order which was right behind their demo car. I am even higher than the GM of the dealership who also has ordered an i7 lol

Thanks for the info! I finally got my new X7 M60 after waiting for months and hit a deer on Saturday. Front end is a mess and there are no parts available to fix it and they are telling me it is going to be months before they can repair it. I am back to daily driving an i8 which is getting old. First world problems I know, but it could not be any worse with the issues of BMW and their deliveries of vehicles.

Just found out from BMW Genius that my production week is 26!

My pre-oder date was June 3 2022!

the week 1 i was told earlier was "requested" but actual in the system is week 26 *!%^$&*

I think the Dealer either did not submit my order in time or jumped other customers ahead of me. I am going to reach out to the dealer to see if they move me ahead.

HA! I just hung up with Genius and they said I had an original delivery date of January, but that has been pushed out. I am now in week 19 and production will not start until May. I ordered the car on day one within hours of it being able to be ordered. Not happy!

The dealer has nothing to do with the production week. We had to enter each pre-order into the order bank with the pre-order code in the notes. BMW then pulls those orders and assigns them production weeks. The later your ordered in the pre-order process, the later you get pushed out. We have several pre-orders with June production.

Well I guess I don't feel so bad anymore about my week 4 production. For what its worth I really pushed my dealer (a dealer in Southern California) to really get me at the very top of the list. So much so that he sent me a screenshot showing that I was the very first order, even ahead of the GM's own order for an i7,

I also think it may have to do with the specs. I feel they are prioritizing high spec cars. Mine literally has every option including the Frozen Deep Grey custom paint. Just a guess though.

BMW of Buena Park. I actually touched base with BMW Irvine but Buena Park was able to give me their very first production slot.

So I just got word that my production week got pushed back. I previously had production week 4 and now its week 7. I hope it does not get delayed further.

Ugh...sorry to hear this!
