Best Transmission tune for MHD Stg 2
I just recently got a 2016 X6 and already got it tuned with MHD stg 2 with a catless VRSF downpipe, I notice a slight lag shifting (It may be my imagination) and I was wondering what options are there that can provide faster shifting to take advantage of the extra power?
I know I got to get the flashing license from xHP but what about maps? Anybody selling custom maps that are highly recommended? Not sure how I feel about dropping another $168.99 just for xHP maps. |

xHP maps have a very good reputation and there's a strong interaction between MHD and xHP maps. I personally wouldn't look elsewhere.

The xHP trans flash works wonders on shifting performance. Normal mode is pretty much stock, Sport and Sport + are quite aggressive with super fast shifting. They also hold the revs higher allowing instant throttle response if you are driving aggressive. I flashed the latest update in December after running the previous version for a year or so. I don't like the way it holds the revs high in Sport mode since I always drive in sport mode.
The only disadvantages I see with the product are suspected transmission wear (some have said) and of course the decrease in MPG. I have an F15 5.0 with BM3 Stage 2, Catless DPs and noticed an immediate decrease of 1.5 MPG with xHP. After running it for a year, it's consistent. I guess the difference of 12.2 MPG vs 13.8 isn't a big deal for such a beast. |

adding a +1 for XHP. Ran Stage 2 for almost a year, just went to Stage 3 to help manage the torque from my BM3 E30 tune.
MHD pairs well with XHP so go for it!
