Hitch coding

Talked to my local dealer about coding the hitch I installed yesterday, they want $600 . I'm wondering if there is somebody on here that can help?

+1 for X Mon. He got me straightened out when I had an issue coding the AGG module.

Does zooming in and deactivated rear parking sensors happen automatically with coding or is it a toggle switch?

Coded correctly, the parking sensors deactivate with a trailer plugged into the X5.

It also disables the ability to open the hatch from the key or the door button. The button on the hatch still works. The hatch disable is something that I can enable or disable per user desire.

The hitch zoom is a selectable feature that appears when the car is put in reverse. As it zooms directly onto the ball location, you wouldn't want it to always be active.

Thanks Man. We got it sorted for Iaro. For some reason I was having trouble getting ESys 3.27 to inject the CAF file. Ended up switching to 3.31 and had no issues, so I need to figure out why 3.27 won't play nice.

We also fixed the window up/down from key that was only half coded, added autofolding mirrors, and pulled the damn warning labels for the display screen.

Sounds like we'll do some more work in the future one he's had a chance to go through the list of options. I had reached the point where my coding laptops battery was ready to give up for the day.

quick question, do you know where to go for allowing the passenger side rear view mirror to tilt when in reverse and a hitch is installed?

AFAIK that functionality remains independent. I’ll have to test it next time I have a trailer on.

Thanks. If I have the hitch plugged, the rear view passenger side will not tilt.
if I remove the hitch, it tilts.
