BM3 Stage 2

I just installed my catted downpipe yesterday, car sounds super mean! Was looking to go stage 2 with my bm3 tune today, now I'm reading the requirements and its saying for a front mounted intercooler , damn i wish i read the tune requirements a month ago lol. Just wondering who's running stage 2 on here and what intercooler they went with, or if they kept it stock and is that even safe. Thanks guys

I'm not using an intercooler and haven't had a problem. If you are on the throttle a lot I could see how it would be a problem (e.g lapping) however for regular street it's fine, at least in my climate.

maybe not a requirement but they put that on there so you can't come back at them or post online that the numbers they claimed is false if your vehicle doesn't hit it

yeah that could be it, so far the engine hasn't showed signs of overheating with the stage 2 flash and no upgraded fmic. Im still looking to purchase one soon, may as well treat the engine good being that its being pushed to its capacity

Oh so you’re getting it too. So apparently it’s because all the air that’s rushing out from the engine that makes it sound like air is leaking from DP

I have the same sound with my VRSF downpipe. Not a fan, but I can accept it for the performance gain..

Do you feel a real big difference between the Stage 1 vs Stage 2 with the DP? I'm on BM3 stage 1 and the torque feels like it lvls off after 3rd gear.
