M Performance Chassis

Does anybody have any information on the M Performance Chassis for the 2022 M4CX? I can't find anything on it except "coil overs" and "adjustable".

Trying to decide whether to add it to my order.

Bumping this up. Does anyone have any info on this? Placing my order shortly and can't find a single thing online about this outside of being an option in the BMW Individual Visualizer.

All I can tell you is that the car lowers a bit in the visualizer when you add it. But you probably already noticed this.

I know this is an old post but I figured I'd add some detail if anyone finds it in a search. I was able to find these details. It does lower the car as noted about the visualizer.. a range of 5-20 mm 😄

M PERFORMANCE COILOVER SUSPENSION
The M Performance coilover suspension has a direct link to motorsport, having been developed and tuned on various racetracks. The suspension system allows the ground clearance to be continuously reduced between five and 20 millimetres. With the damper setting unchanged, the driver benefits from a lower centre of gravity, reduced rolling movements and even higher cornering speeds. In addition to the increased driving dynamics, the lowered suspension also helps boost the cars’ sporty look.

I am intrigued by this option as well.

The typical sales associate prob doesn’t know much about it, and I need to point my guy into the right direction, so I want to clarify that this is an individual option, correct?

Does anyone know the cost?

Any experience with this option on M3/4s?

I am looking at ordering an M4CX, and if the cost is reasonable I might order this option.

Thanks in advance!

It's not an option to add in the US.

You would need to purchase the kit from BMW (cheapest is ordering from Germany) and then pay to have it installed.

According to my sales guy it's an option to add on an M3 Base 6MT, port installed. However it's possible that if we actually went to buy it that it wouldn't allow it. But it's showing as an option.

Which dealer? Did he give you a price?

It's listed as an option on the Individual Visualizer site, but both dealers I had orders in with checked in July and it was a no go to actually order.

When I inquired dealer quoted roughly 2400$.

The part however can be purchased within the US for roughly 1700 and 1100-1200 if ordered from Germany. However if ordering from Germany be prepared to wait.

The guy at BMW Genius just told me if it’s on the the Individual website it should be available.

Im going to auger down with my SA to verify.

I’d rather pay $2400 for factory/port installation for warranty purposes.

Working on it with my CA who is working on it with the port and my car may be one of, if not the first, at Port Hueneme getting it installed. Pricing still in the air for the M3CX, but a bit more than the $2400 mentioned above. I'd expect pricing to be same for M4CX. Anything, ANYTHING, to get rid of that front gap!

Wouldn't this be preferred? Then you get to keep the stock suspension. If the port installs it, they're going to throw the stock suspension away.

Hi guys, just to be clear, this is not really coilovers ! It is in reality the M performance HAS kit. Now produced and available, they offer it as an option in France too.

But it is NOT high perf coilovers with super hard dampers etc... Same dampers, just HAS kit.

Not necessarily true as the individualizer is for the world and markets differ.

M Performance Parts installed at the dealership are warrantied for 2 years or the remainder of the car's original warranty, whichever is longer.

The Genius guy was adamant that if it’s on the Individual site it’s available. Not sure I believe him. The lack of clear guidance from BMW is surprising.

Good point on the warranty. Thanks.

Do you have any info on how to order this from Germany for that cheap? Is there a specific retailer you would recommend, and part number? Thanks.

Seem to be out of stock currently. I ordered the kit on 10/10 when there were some in stock and still no tracking/ship date so it is a bit of a wait. All good I don't have car yet anyways.

This is correct-HAS Kit. The part # is 31-30-5-A2D-979. Springs, perches, and bump stops with associated hardware. You reuse your OEM dampers and shocks. The best available price is from Baums https://www.baum-bmwshop24.de/bmw-na...k-31305a2d979/ but there will be shipping charges and a wait. Seems to be running about 2-3 weeks.
