Which they did, quickly. So kudos to BMW for making it right, eventually.

All they claimed to have done was to call Sirius and have them send a refresh signal. You can actually do that yourself (if you set up an account) via their web page.

LOL, good luck with that. BMW got their butt sued for the V8 debacle, and all anyone got out of that was to be reimbursed for the extra oil that the engine burns. If you kept your receipts and if you went through the dealership and had a consumption test done.

No one gets satisfaction from class action suits except the lawyers.

I love people like you making comments like that, some people value principles, not necessarily the 60-100 dollars or whatever. And you know what, the people that value their 60-100 dollars. That's their money. They paid for something, they should get it. BTW, it's a real PITA but if you want to keep your SIRIUS after the trial period, don't renew. Instead, call and cancel and when they ask you why, tell them it's too expensive and that you'll stay if they give you the same introductory offer. Sure, it takes 15 minutes but if you like to save money, it's worth it.

If they don't bite (sometimes they won't, like in January) then just let it cancel and eventually they'll start to mail you all kinds of introductory-priced offers to come back.

I have a love/hate relationship with them, except without the love. But my local FM station choices are limited and I generally don't stream music.

Used to be big on stern but lately he's a bore. Now it's for nhl network but hard to substantiate the bill. The only other reason is I pay for my mothers subscription and they give me a deal for two.

Small update from my side - SXM randomly decided to extend my trial to 1 year (actually slightly more as they extended my trial to 1/1/23) and send me a welcome letter in the mail.
I think BMW reached some kind of a deal with them.

Never been a satellite radio fan however if they advertise it like bmw does as a benefit I feel that they should make it right or change there site and paperwork to reflect such. It’s definitely the principal. Paying 90k for a car and get shorted on sat radio, getting the classic I drive controller versus the touch controller what else are they going to short us on. And the cost of the car has gone up and apr.

I got my car on Dec 3. I got the same letter stating my subscription started on Jan 1, 2022, going through to Jan 1, 2023.

I didn't realize Sirius XM was not initialized on my car before that. Even after I got the letter I had to do an initialization myself with line of sight to the sky and going to the website with my radio ID.

Never went back to Sirius XM after that. It's one of those things that'd annoy you if you didn't have but you don't care about if you have it.
