Love my 2022 M3 interior. I’d take any of these more driver oriented
cockpits over a large screen. Just looks out of place in a drivers car

Standard equipment might be curved display and executive package might get curved display with HUD.

Again, all these are just assumptions based on the info we have now. If I in the market for a MY23, I wouldn't stop looking for an allocation until I see the official iDrive 8 confirmation from BMW.

That is not my M3 build....offer sent to me yesterday, and I gave it a hard pass since it was purple and was told it could not be changed.

I'm hoping to get my regular MY2023 M3 Comp xDrive allocation within a month or so....

There is approximately zero chance that the Special Edition will include the curved dash but not the other M3's. And likewise no chance that the Executive Package will have it but not the base. But it is likely that the M4 won't get it until next year, as ynguldyn predicted long ago.

If my MY23 has ID8 and that ugly screen I'm out. One of you can take my allocation along with the absurd wait, the shitty communication, the price increases, the dash, the missing features and everything else as well.

I've never had a problem with any of my other screens since screens started in cars so I don't imagine this one will be any different for the most part. And I'm sure they could pry the screens out of the dash in the older versions.

I feel you. ID8 by itself won't be a deal breaker for me. But that, with price increases, rate increases, any missing equipment, month after month with no allocation, getting treated like dogsh!t by CAs (don't get me wrong, I've encountered good ones too), getting told I had an allocation and then BMW supposedly taking it away, likely delays upon delays upon delays if or when this car goes into production, being told 5 different things from 5 different people because nobody, probably not even the guys at the top know what's going on..if I don't get an allocation soon, I'm ready to tap out and come back when things are back to semi-normal. There are people who don't stress about these things, but unfortunately I am not one of them. The chase was fun at first, but it's getting old and I'm only three months into the rodeo. I don't know how some of you guys have been at it for close to a year, but major props. I get it, we are in unprecedented times and there are a lot of things out of BMW/dealers' control, but asking a car company to take your $100k should not be like this.

Because the 2023 M4 CSL has been seen in production form with the original dash and screens. The M3 updates follow the 3 Series updates. The 4 Series interior (sans i4) has not been updated with an LCI and will likely not be for 2023, hence it also being most likely scenario that the M4 will not have ID8.

Interesting, seems like a bit of an arbitrary distinction by BMW there. And makes this whole thing feel even more like a bait and switch for people that have been waiting through all the bullshit of the last 5 months. 'Here's the m3 with this horrendous curved monitor, or the m4csl with the features you actually wanted for more money!'
