I can't choose...

I'm suppose to be sending my build code to my CA by end of week and I cannot seem to settle on a color. Seeing all the amazing builds on this forum has made it even more difficult!

My current M2 is Long Beach Blue, love that color.

I've narrowed it down to:

- Isle of Man Green on either Silverstone or Kyalami Orange (not sure if this is common or not since it was the release color combo).

- Portimao Blue on Fiona Red (Saw some here who dubbed it the "superman" spec but it was voodoo blue, combination looks so good though).

- Brooklyn Grey on either Yas Marina Blue, Fiona Red, or Kyalami Orange

I can't choose =( Would love to see some more pictures of what you guys have!

You need pick and settle on one of the colors first - either interior or exterior. You indecision is caused by having too many variables running at the same time.

I picked the exterior color first for example: Enzian Blue. And then it was an easy pick for Kyalami Orange because I wanted that too.

Isle of Man green with Kyalami Orange interior is a very nice spec. KO seems to be the most common interior for IOMG. I love the KO interior especially paired with the bucket seats. If I didn’t go with KO I would have went with silver stone interior but they will stain fast and need lots of upkeep especially if you wear blue jeans. I personally went with Brooklyn Grey and Kyalami Orange interior. I personally don’t like Superman combinations like Portimao blue with red interior or Toronto red with fjord blue.

My top considerations are similar to yours. I saw several of these combos in Indy M track day and below is my current situation.

BG: Its my top exterior choice and black accents stands out extremely well. I want to have some kinda blue (exterior or interior) in a M car but YMB doesnt go well with BG. BG and YMB are cool colors and they kinda clash. I might go with a vibrant FR interior as it compliments a cool exterior shade.

IOMG: This with KO interior is a classy spec but i might go with the above option as its a little vibrant.

I wouldn't consider any of these options if BMW offered a lighter shade of blue in the regular palette.

I love the YAS interior and had it spec'd originally when I was going with SPY for the exterior.

YAS really only seems to go well with SPY, BG, or FBW.

Yes, I think BG goes well with YAS personally.

I'm leaning towards IOMG on KO.

Agreed with the above. You need to narrow it down a bit. Too many options in your head.

I like YMB and I may be in the minority, but I think it only works on SPY or AW (FW).

I went with BG/FR and I've never looked back. It was the combo I wanted from the outset and never waivered. I love it so that's obviously what I'd choose if I were you, but I'm clearly biased.

I really do like IOMG as well. KO works great here, but then you have a break caliper dilemma since, again, I may be in the minority, but I think the red calipers clash with the KO interior. One reason why I never seriously considered KO with my BG. I knew I wanted red brakes. Maybe I'm guilty of overthinking or being too matchy-match, but I got exactly what I wanted...BG/FR/red brakes.

Good luck!

Personally if you're going to go with BG exterior, consider Fjord Blue. It's an amazing color, especially paired with the BG. See this link to someone that has that combo:

My G80 M3 xDrive in Brooklyn Grey + Fjord Blue arrived https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1851516

However, if you want to go with a bold color, that IOMG is amazing, and I would personally go with the Silverstone interior.

Like someone else said, choose your favorite exterior OR interior first, then match the other. It was tough for me, I went with Dravit, but the options seem endless, and all so great.

Good luck, it's a fun problem to have!

Indeed a fun problem to have!

BG with FR or FB is the "safer" choice I would say.

I do like a bit more of a bold color as I have always bought black cars up until my LBB M2.

I think I'm settling my choice on IOMG w. the KO interior. I'm a little nervous with wearing jeans in the Silverstone interior.

I got one more day to mull it over =)

By the way, which package gives you the better paddle shifters?

Yea, I get you, I thought of the Silverstone and chickened out 😆

I could be wrong but I'm almost certain it's choosing the interior carbon fiber package that gives you those awesome shifters. I got the interior and exterior CF but mine is a manual.

@JEM3

OK so I went to the builder and it shows a big difference between other interior trims and the CF interior trim. So it looks like that's what you have to do to get those paddles.

Nice, I was going with the CF package regardless, those should be standard!
