G80 M3 lifespan?

How long will the G80 M3 be around given the expected Euro 7 vehicle emissions requirements that are understood to essentially eliminate the sale of the ICE powered vehicles in Europe starting in 2025?

From what I read, 2025 is being proposed but not finalized and I suspect a long phased in approach will be taken. Also, the EU represents only about 0.5 billion in a world of 8 billion people, hardly enough to sink ICE vehicles so soon. 2030 is probably a more realistic estimated cutoff for elimination of new ICE vehicles. The next gen M3/4 (after G8x) will surely be hybrid if not full on EV.

Finally, at least traditionally, new regulations only directly applied to newly introduced cars, not cars introduced earlier but still on sale. But I haven't looked into Euro7 in detail.
