Was the M-Performance wheel a factory fit option? btw, as much as the car's front end divides opinion, you'll need a mechanic for that type of Rhinoplasty... |

Did you jump thru any hoops for allocation? That seems quick in contrast to what dealers are telling me.

I just ordered an M3. The salesperson here was super nice and told me that I would have to wait about 8 months for it. No problem. I am patient!

M3 g80 50th anniversary
Hello everybody
I am new here and will like to get some input if possible I am looking to buy an m3 50th anniversary Interlagos blue with carbon seats or a red one with std seats Here is my struggle Blue one has better price from dealer by a lot Red one that is from another dealer has about 13k more mark up Blue one has carbon seats that I am afraid I will be uncomfortable with in the loan run I will be driving this car not daily but often But I hv read that they are ok and maybe the could get me a better resale value I am supposed to pick the blue one tomorrow But still having seconds thoughts Also I am so used to driver’s assist pro on all my other cars that I fear I might miss it if I get the 50th anniversary edition that comes with out it So here are my questions Do I get the blue and be done with it? Do I push for better price on the red one first before I sign on the blue to get std seats? My daughter said the red one looks too old for me lol I am 47 but it might like the flashy color My wife likes the blue one and said the seats will be fine Last question is Is the 50th anniversary worth the extra money It does look hot but the colors avil are not my option 1 Will be worth more if I try to sell it if I don’t like the seats ? (I always wanted a unique car, something special) Or do I just order a regular m3 , the color I want with driving assist pro Regular seats It will still a special car but not a unique car Please thoughts Thank you Last edited by Melloco2201; 10-30-2022 at 11:21 AM.. Get the Interlagos Blue, it's not your daily so you will be fine with the CB. Plus your getting a better deal it's a no brainer. ILB is way cooler than any red and I have had both 1997 e36 M3 sedan and a 2006 M3C ILB and a 2005 ILB M5. If you don't take it PM where it's located, I passed on Techo Violet Jahre in hopes of finding a ILB. |

Hi all — I’m interested in getting some input from you guys regarding a car purchase.
I will be in the market for a new car early next year. Initially I was leaning towards the redesigned ’23 M2 but after looking over the specs from formal unveiling of the car in October I’m having second thoughts. Specifically, I have four issues/concerns with the car: - I’m not crazy about the looks of the new design - the front square intakes, the recessed grill, the rear end with the sharper angles… IMO all of these are changes are downgrades the F87 design. - The color options for the car are surprisingly limited. Two nonmetallic and three metallic colors including that awful powder blue option? What were these guys thinking? - The car is being produced in a new factory in Mexico rather than in Leipzig. I’m wondering if it’s a good idea to be an early buyer of the first cars coming off this new production line. While I’m sure the new plant will be fine once it’s up and running for a few months, one could imagine some of the early production cars could have several quality control hiccups. - Lastly, the new car has gained 250 lbs in weight over the F87 and now weighs as much as an M4 — 3,867 for the M2 vs. 3,830 for the M4. This is why even with the HP bump the new M2s 0-60 is still 4.1 seconds. For about $10K more than a nicely optioned M2, I could get an M4 Competition with better color options, an additional 50 hp, equal or better road performance, and a front grill that’s even less desirable than the M2’s… Am I overstating the new M2’s shortcoming? Are the owners of the redesigned M4 happy with the car? Any input would be appreciated. |

I wouldn't worry about the plant, there are other concerns, sure, but, for $10k more, you're getting a base RWD Comp. I think the M4 is still a better car than an M2, and I think a lot of us feel is a lot better looking, if the cost is not a factor and you don't mind a stripper, go for the M4.

Having had my car for a year, there is not a doubt in my mind - G8X AWD. Anything less, and you're not saving a few thousand bucks, you're throwing away tens of thousands on a lesser car. IMO.

Hey folks,
I ordered an M3 xdrive in Nov 2021 but, for whatever reason, that car was never built. In the interim I decided to buy a 718 GT4 with the view that it would be shielded (to an extent) from depreciation - had that 3 months and the engine died due to what I expect to be an oil pump failure - it's at my dealer now waiting for a post-Christmas tear-down to determine root cause. All the while, I had my BMW dealer keep an eye out for M3 xdrives and I've luckily found one in my close-to-perfect spec: M3 drive 50 Jahre Lime Rock Grey Full Silverstone Ultimate Pack I expect to take delivery in early Jan. Will post a few pics. Last edited by M4GTS; 12-17-2022 at 02:22 PM.. |
