So I placed my order the other day with an anticipated production date around second week of July. I'm dead set on all my options, but I'm still up in the air on the interior. I ordered the Fiona Red Full Merino Leather Interior. Not sure if I can change the order at this stage, and I won't lose sleep if I can't. However, if I can make the change, I'm considering going with extended.

Are there any Fiona Red owners or individuals that had enough seat time that can chime in on the look of extended and/or full?

While I prefer the look and feel of leather, I am a little concerned about the red running along under the dash throughout the front. Anyone think it's a bit overkill?

I have the full leather and I think it looks great. You also get the upper dash and upper door panels. I think it is a must have and separates the car from non-M cars. I wouldn’t get the car without it.

Thanks for your input. I sat in cars with the full leather in the showroom and it definitely has a more premium look and feel to it.

I agree, Full feels much better but it's "too" red for me. I prefer the look of extended.

There's an ordering code to change the lower dash in full leather spec to be black. When I went to apply it, the dealer said it was going to add extra time to my build plus whatever the fee was. Ended up just going with the red lower dash as I didn't want to wait any longer. I honestly don't even notice it anymore but I do notice the nice leather dash on top all the time.

100% full, the plastic takes away from an M car, not to mention you get deviated stitching on top panel and doors which looks amazing. The extra Fiona color splash and the leather wrap around the lower dash near the radio station memory makes it worth it… I hate plastic so for me it was well worth it. And on my g83 the full leather adds leather on the panels on around panels where the top connects to the body , so more red deviated stitching!

That's because it becomes an Individual Manufaktur order. You can specify and pay more for custom-spec deviated stitching and other more exclusive customizations at that point.

Laser lights was a must have as one of the trivial options most non car people won't notice.

Too much red for me if going with full leather, plus the fact BMW cheaps out by not covering the fuse box cover.

Not worth the $2,500 if you ask me....

I massively, massively regret not getting full. Have contemplated selling the car and waiting for a new one with full, but I also passionately despise id8, so I'm sticking with my extended

I might be in the minority but i skipped full leather for too much red within the cabin. If i go with full leather, i would have opted for a muted interior (black).

Compare the cost of full leather of a 911. This option was exactly what made me order it on the G80. The cost on the bimmer is a steal. I have full with Fiona and was never worried about having too much red, more so the actual color in person which looked great when I saw it.

Once you go full leather it's hard to go back and everything feels cheaper if you do. First world problems.

Great feedback so far, and the consensus is I made the right choice going full.

I'll keep it full because I have a feeling I will regret it more going extended wishing I got the full as opposed to going full wishing I got extended.

My SA did mention I can switch from red to black underneath, but taken into consideration the high up charge plus tacking on more weeks into production, no thanks.

I didn't know that was even an option to get the lower portion of the dash in a different leather color than the seats when opting for the full leather. But like you said, if that adds weeks to delivery, I'd pass for sure.

The $2,500 I'll be saving not getting full leather will go towards an M Performance front lip spoiler....

I would definitely opt for the extended full leather. Like other posters have mentioned, it truly makes the cabin feel like an expensive BMW and really compliments the stature of the M3. IMO it's a sport car, so I actually prefer more red throughout the cabin. Just my 2 cents.

I can see how the red may be too much for some, but every time I get in the car and I see the vinyl door against the red inserts it just feels cheap. Full leather door would be legit and the dash (for me) would be icing on the cake. Expensive icing.
