Did you properly coat the diffuser? Ceramic coating? PPF + ceramic coat? That’s what I would’ve done to avoid yellowing.

I thought maybe it was only partially PPF, good to know. Could it just be the PPF that is yellowing?

Bad quality PPF is known to yellow. Partially because of the adhesive. It's possible the adhesive has seeped into the diffuser clear coat because of exhaust heat. Peeling of the PPF to that extent also points to poor quality PPF and/or installation. What brand of PPF is this? Who installed it?

That the best explanation if this is in fact an OEM diffuser. If it's aftermarket, this can also be on the part itself.

Oem diffuser. Pics shows yellow under ppf. Ceramic pro kavaca from an elite installer if east to judge the ppf.

It's seems to have happened even where the film never adhered and continues underneath.

Why isn't it happening throughout the piece then? I brought it to a ceramic pro americas corporate owned facility ran by their director of training lmao. Everyone sucks when they choose to. That ppf has never been laid, picked it up about as it looks now.

Looks Like it’s happening where the air got at it. It’s like it’s Oxidised

It’s a terrible PPF job! It’s lifting and you can see very obvious cuts

Remove the PPF and have it polished by a reputable detailer. I bet it's the PPF adhesive. If that doesn't do it, ask BMW to cover it under warranty.

stick with a more reputable brand like XPel or Stek, etc. never heard of Ceramic Pro Kavaca before.

Google them then. Big sponsor at Sema since 2017. Was suppose to be a reputable place but thats been a mess. I have a hard time thinking it's the film since yellowing happening in streaks that have only partially been covered by film and carries out from under it.
