2023 M3 knock sensor recall

They are different, mine didn’t show up either but I have the stop sale.

Just got hit with this message from my CA also. My car is production week 11. Spent two additional weeks in the port in germany and an extra 40ish days at VPC (wheels had a recall and a whole set was re-ordered from germany).

Car finally makes it to the dealership today and boom stop sale hits.

I hope they can get this fixed quickly.

I believe it is all B48, B58, and S58 powered vehicles that were built in the timeframe, now my car was built 1 day after the quoted timeframe so I hope I’m clear lol

FWIW the bulletin my CA shared with me shows A LOT of models being affected. He also said that its pretty much preventing the sale of most of the cars that he has on the lot right now.

Since it seems to be affecting an actual large amount of cars hopefully BMW can issue a fix fast and get these cars moving again.

According to genius the rep couldn’t see anything reported as far as a stop sale or recall with my M3, hoping it stays that way.

I called as well and the woman said the same thing. I guess we’ll see in the next several days.

Im so bummed about this lol. I ordered the car last October, tracked the ship across the ocean excited just for this to happen. Who knows how many weeks now the car is gonna sit there with this issue.

My G80 is still stuck at VPC since 04/26 for the stupid key card bullshit and this morning my CA told me about this knock sensor recall. I guess I can tell my wife to save her money on my Christmas gift this year cuz this might very well be my f'ing Christmas gift the way things been going with BMW.....FML

What really sucks on my end is I did paperwork on this car and paid for it last week. So now I'm the owner of a car that I don't have with an undefined timely of when I will receive my car. Anyone else in the same situation?
