Matte or Glossy PPF on the carbon fiber parts?
Not sure what to do and I need some help from the forum.
I'll be getting my BSM G82 fully PPF wrapped in about a week with STEK Dynomatte (aka stealth) but I'm undecided about wrapping the carbon fiber parts in Glossy film or continue with the matte film on all surfaces. My car has the exterior carbon package and I like the idea of the CF parts not standing out too much from the rest of the car so I'm thinking of wrapping them in matte film. But will it look too muted all wrapped in the stealthy matte film? Does anyone have an opinion on this? Or examples? Thanks! |

CF should be glossy. You’re also expecting that all your CF pieces will be 100% covered - you will quickly find this is not true in complex pieces like the mirror and side air breathers. It’ll look really bad when a portion of the piece is matte and another is glossy.

It’s already been said, but gloss over CF all the way.
The matte over carbon fiber will mute the carbon fiber too much. The contrast between that and the paint is what you’ll want to accentuate, especially since you have BSM. I agree with everyone above. |

I did matte PPF on Brooklyn Grey and kept all CF parts gloss. The contrast is fantastic.

I'll echo the sentiment that the CF parts should stay glossy.
See pics of my car here. Matte PPF on the matte paint + glossy PPF on the CF. I can't even tell the PPF is there. Charles
