Thanks for the info.

Pretty impressive weight figure for a 20" BMW wheel.

0.4 lbs weight difference between F and R seems odd to me
all other have at least 2lbs difference
I think the 24.2lbs for rear is wrong

1000M in 21 are not so bad... tempted to go 295/25/21 square F R

for 20/20 there are the 863M from M5 just need a 10-15mm spacer to get the right ofsett

They're closing in weight than you might think.

Others report similar numbers.

WOW!! The weight of the 829M winter wheels is absurd - 33.1 lbm/wheel

The front and rear are narrower by 0.5” and 1.0”, respectively, yet they’re still way heavier. Ride quality is going to suck with those wheels and they probably bend easily. Inexpensive aftermarket wheels are a much better option for winter time.

I'd have to drive both forged summers and cast winters back to back on the same tyre type to notice much difference from the wheels alone...

F8x winter wheels are also cast, made by Ronal.

10-13 lbm increase in unsprung mass is significant. I can feel a change in ride quality on my f82 with 1/2 of that mass added. Also, driving f87s with and without the 2NH brake package have very difficult ride quality characteristics on bumpy roads.

I'm swapping wheels this weekend so will pay extra attention!
