Anyone ever see an X3M vehicle on your screen?

I know we have the same S58 engine, but once in a blue moon, I briefly see an X3 image pop up on my screen. It's really brief (1-2 seconds), so I thought I was seeing something when it happened the first couple of times. It is rare, but I have seen enough times to know it happens. Anyone else see this? It shouldn't bother me, but it's just slightly annoying sometimes to see it. Kind of feels like I borrowed someone's underwear or something.

Sorry man but that's hilarious. I don't have mine - yet- but I'll be really annoyed if that happens for sure.

My wife and I have an LCI X3M and I've never seen an M3 pop up.. lol.

Bring that up to service and let us know what they say.

Yes, it happens all the time for me.

Happens when the battery is low for me. Keep your key farther away from the car.

No X3M seen here but I did see my E39 M5 once which foreshadowed how good this car was going to be.

When early production models of the G8X went to journalists for a 'non-driving' reveal, the instrument cluster was showing a picture of… an X3.

Battery being low probably triggers some 'default' code path in a component which then gets the right image afterwards in a late initialization of some sort.

i think the cluster defaults to that when reset. check battery connection/charge.

Mine does it every time, shows a silver x3 for a second and then switch’s to the m4

I think In the early demo versions of the cars in online promos that's what showed on the idrive
