Individual Order Locked?

Anyone have any experiences with making changes to an order after their Individual order was approved?
My SA put a request in for my color, and bmw approved it, but they mistakenly put Extended instead of full leather.
I'm still in Status 111, and I'm still in "Order Placed", but my SA told me that the order was locked.
Is there someone I can email? Full leather is a must for me.

It's locked to the dealer but someone here was able to get BMW NA to adjust it. And anyway, if the dealership made a mistake, how is it your problem? If nobody can resolve it, ask them to give you a new allocation and eat the incorrectly ordered car.

Unfortunately it's a smaller dealer so another allocation would take forever.
Any insight on what your dealer did to get it changed from BMW NA?
Really bummed about the lack of full leather

If it's status 111 or even 112 , it is absolutely NOT locked.

150 is locked.

I was under the understanding of this too, but supposedly when putting an individual request in, it locks everything in.
Regardless of status.
The managers have tried to make the edits to no avail. I'm assuming bmw na has to be contacted, but unsure as to how to go about doing so.
What a stressful process.

Well shit , I just changed my BSM to Grey Back thanks to an individual here on the forums lol and the approval should come in on Monday.

I'll watch out for this as well and call my friend who's the sales to confirm this won't happen as I absolutely also would not take extended.

That's what I'm gonna tell them to do, they said they sent an email to their regional rep, with no progress being made. Maybe a call has to be made.

Yes push hard on them , this needs to be corrected asap because if this flips to 150 magically , then you are SOL.

Yup!
I hope everything goes well on the grey black order! Have them print out a spec sheet before they submit the paperwork.
I'm already pulling my hair out and I don't even have a vin yet! Haha

Special order color 112 IS locked. Only 111 is still modifiable. The dealer will need to send an email to their BMW NA regional person (a sales manager should definitely know who to contact as it should be the same person they email to order a special order color). Request the change ASAP before it hits 112.

Hopefully this works, they said they sent an email. I wanted to make more changes than just the interior, but at this point I'll just take the interior change.

I think I'd have to back out of the car if it lacks full leather. What a bummer

I had a locked individual order and decided I wanted to change the callipers to black. My SA told me I'd probably have to start again and loose the allocation but I wasn't willing to do that (I'd have them painted myself rather than push the order back but I asked him to see what he could do)
They had to contact the factory and luckily the change was made. Now this might have been down to it only being the callipers but I had a fully loaded spec and I assume they made an exception.
Not sure how others have got on but you can only try and keep pushing them. In the end you have to get exactly the spec you want when doing the individual builds.
I also had to appreciate the fact I had changed my mind so couldn't make a big deal out of it.

My allocation is on status 102 (Special Request Order Rec) and I'm getting the same run around from my SA as the OP because I want to add Parking Assistant to an already fully loaded M4 Xdrive Competition order.

Nope they submitted my request and BMWNA denied it. The dealer told me, they will be receiving my car whether I want to cancel and order a new one or not (so they would have to sell my individual spec if I really wanted the change I requested. Luckily the change was more something my fam wanted, then me personally, so I'll still be happy as is

This scares me, I can't believe I'll have to wait another couple of months for a mistake I didn't even commit. Frustrating

Your SA, should've done what my SA did and print the build spec sheet before submitting. Poor move on their end, particularly with an individual build.

Yeah, that would have been a great help. I should have them done that, best I can do at this point is hope bmwna can make the slight change from extended to full. It's not even a different color!
