Need Help with Boot Lid Emergency Release
Hello,
I was trying to do a steering wheel swap and disconnected the battery, and foolishly closed the trunk. I crawled through the backseat to release the trunk with emergency release, but now the release wouldn’t go back to its original position. There is a hook that the release pull stays in, but whenever I try to place it there, the release just wouldn’t stay. Is there any where I can return the emergency pull to its original position? Thanks. |

I've never pulled that release out, but I have the same problem, the release doesn't want to stay in place. And it seems to mostly be caused by how stiff the metal wire it's connected to is. And a little bit because the small piece supposed to hold it in place doesn't apply the same amount of resistance.
