I messed up

On a whim I traded my g80 for a g87 in manual. Woke up yesterday and had a thought that I miss driving a stick shift car went on car gurus and decided to go see and ultimately trade in my car….
So far my thoughts on the m2 .
Much slower hopefully a tune will fix that

Doesn’t handle as well
And definitely too civil for my liking
The m3 was the perfect Jekyll and Hyde car

I’m gonna wait for lci to be released and get an xdrive hopefully sooner then later
My wife is pissed as this isn’t the first time I did this ……

Out of curiosity, if wanting a manual was the main motivation, why not get a G80 or G82 with the manual? I know you said you messed up, but I'm still trying to understand your logic behind jumping to the G87 instead.

edit: just saw you also have a GT3RS.... all sympathy for you has been deactivated, 😆

Sounds rich, stupid or both.

Definitely very rich. Or like the really rich like to say, "comfortable".
Intelligence and self-control may be irrelevant.

A family sedan especially the m3 looks strange to me with a manual… I think it’s suits the m2 better

Would you mind elaborating more on comparison. M2 board seems to think m2 is way more nimble and handles better.

Just seen a YouTube clip saying the m2 has a slower steering rack that might be what I’m feeling ….. I guesss I prefer the quick steering of the m3

Well.... I traded my F80 for a 2021 S4 and after seven months traded that for a 2022 M240i............. and a year later back into a G80 M3. You aren't alone.

I bought an F87 also kinda on a whim... I was looking at an F80 and didn't care for it, they had a pretty blue M2 loaded to the gills, heavily discounted...

I hated it. On the drive home I realized that I made a huge mistake. Oh well.

I bought my first G82 sight-unseen, no test drive. 2 miles out of the dealership, I thought, "yes, this was a smart move".

Sold it in the crazy used car market and then a few months later decided that I just had to have another one, so I did. Kinda on a whim, but no regrets on that one either.

Oh my, the number of cars I've bought on a whim... it's shocking in hindsight. And most of them turned out to be mistakes.

What didn’t you like about the F87? Was is the N55 or the S55 version?

I’ve been thinking of picking one up as a keeper, I thought they handled so well at the track.

I currently have my rapid red GT350R for sale on AutoTrader. It's a 2020 with only 1600 mi and it's the most rare color combo out of any ever made on this car.
