Seatbelt "Hug"

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Just curious does everyone's G8x have the seatbelt slack removal feature? The system will remove the seatbelt slack a second or two after driving off. I recall that it was in a M3 of the 2021 year but doesn't seem to be in the 2022.
Does anybody know how to turn this feature on or off?

I have it in my 2022 M4. There's no way to turn it off.

My ‘21 X3M had this and the tug was very noticeable, nearly uncomfortable. My ‘22 M3 (G80) tugs as well however with much less force, sometimes barely noticeable.

Interesting.. The tug is there in my regular X5, in the very basic 2 series loaner from the dealership, in my G82, etc.

Baffling why they would skip that on the G80 alone. If my memory is not bad, the tug is there on the regular 3 series. (My memory could be bad)

Edit: someone above said their G80 has it. Which makes the whole thing a bit weird. Was this one of the silent parts shortage cuts or is there something defective in some cars?

My 2022 G80 with Carbon Buckets doesn't have it. I just took a family members 2021 330i to service this morning and it tugged. Wonder if it has anything to do with the buckets?

Nope, I have standard seats and it doesn't do it.

Everyone of these cars has it. Even my wife’s 2020 X3 has it. You can turn this function on and off from inside the menu.
