The meetup's goal was to meet face to face and then take a cruise around the beautiful SF Bay Area and get some lunch in Sausalito. Let's just say...we went about 16 or so miles until a lot of us were lost(!). Blame the power of the ///M gas pedal! (Note: guys, we gotta do better at sticking together next time. ��)

Ultimately, most of us ended up getting lunch together and learned a bit more about who's behind those amazing wheels. A damn good get together indeed and I think we can all agree we made some new friends.

Not only is this inspiring human still driving cars despite a wheelchair, he's driving not one, but two badass M cars. And he's sporting carbon bucket seats as well!

A great day for us all, and surely just the beginning. We've got 12 cars lined up for the next meet, and likely approaching 16 as more folks signal that they want to join.

Thanks, MCM, I didnt even realize how good it would match when I ordered the car. It came out perfect!

lol. Actually, Em3comp has a moonroof as well, but his roof is blacked out so it's hard to see. Moonroof for me is an essential build item!

Cool stuff! I think BMW has a great camaraderie amongst enthused drivers. I can imagine all those G8x cars riding together on the streets amplifying that S58 sound. And speaking of S58, it looks like bm3 by Protuningfreaks is now available with a Fempto unlock required.

None of us would discriminate against a G83 appearing in the mix! This thread is revealing that there are more Bay Area G8x owners than we knew of. And if your ride isn't true "M" than mine with a moonroof isn't either. Still would never option this/any car without the moonroof.
