Stek Dynoshield PPF is already hydrophobic so when you do the whole car, the detailing company (whose owner is also the President of Stek USA) said ceramic wasn't required.
That said, I self-applied some graphene coating to enhance hydrophobicity especially in the rear where backsplash from wet roads was accumulating dirt that would dry on too quickly (2 days of wet roads = visible dirt on rear). Graphene substantially reduced the occurrence of that (could easily go a week without seeing much dirt if it was wet the whole week). And it did it better than ceramic (which I have over PPF in the rear of my X5),
