sounds like it, i know there is one member here who has been at the Baltimore VPC since the beginning of october and he is still there.
And that's me. My M4 has been in the Baltimore VPC since October 6 with both stop sales. My CA, her manager and Genius have no idea when they will be fixed. If they did not provide me with an X5 loaner as a matter of courtesy, I would have bought one out of state already. But this dealership is great, I am sticking with my order.

Does anyone have any concrete information as to where the RAM modules are being fit now? I've heard they are being done in the VPC stateside. Then I heard at the port In Bremerhaven. Then at the factory. I'm confused.

If the factory has any at the time your car is produced, it's installed there. U.S. bound cars are fixed at the destination port. In reading other threads, I think Canada bound (and some other countries?) get fixed at the port in Germany.

My M4 has also been in Baltimore VPC with a RAM stop sale. But, it arrived on Oct, 16. I have called my CA and BMW Genius, which they have no idea what is the estimated time for the fix. The Genius told me it should only take like 30 minutes to fix the RAM on each car. I think the biggest problem is the flow rate of cars is being much greater than the quantity of RAMs they receive. My work order was opened on the 18th. I guess I won't pick up my car unless your car get fixed first. So, definitely let us know your progress if you have any updates from BMW.

Lexura has definitely been there the longest of anyone on the board. My car arrived with yours though on the 16th. Once Lexura's stop sales gets resolved it wont be long for us i hope.

Just got off the phone with Genius and I gave them an earful on the recorded line ( but was not rude to great customer service lady). Anyways, gut feel is that once my stop sales are resolved, the dam would break and others would have faster resolution. I think that was the experience in other ports where they addressed RAM issues fast. Also, I read that they sent teams from Germany to the VPC's but do not hold me to that. If that is the case, they have Baltimore last in their itinerary.

Did they have much to say about it?

She said that they don't have access to stop sales information but just gave me info I already knew like work order date ( Oct 8 ) etc. I told her that there is no movement at the Baltimore VPC at all and she assured me that she was getting calls from California and other VPCs. She actually volunteered to call my dealership to assist them in expediting the order. I told her it is up to her, as I trust my dealership and I did not call to complain against them. She also mentioned the chip shortage affecting the parts delivery. Told her point blank that I am "hearing" of fast RAM resolution in other ports but she reverted back to all other processing centers are affected as well. So, net net I did not really get much info to explain the Baltimore delay.

Hopefully, they could resolve this within the next two weeks and we could all take delivery soon.

Arrived at Port Hueneme today and so begins the official RAM stop sale clock. Hoping for a fairly quick turnaround time. 🤞🏻

Good luck! I'm fairly confident that you'll get it resolved somewhere between 3, and 90, days

It really is a crap shoot. So strange how it can vary so much from one car to the next even at the same location.

It probably does go by VIN numerical order then.

It's another possibility. However given the constraints in supply and the fact that some options are being held for only Priority 1 cars, I just kind of figured all cars are marked as customer sold cars at this point. 🤷🏻

I've heard from a few friends at various dealers in the past few months that they have actually had dealer-inventory cars hit production, but that they end up selling them before the car ever hits the ground. Sounds reasonable.

I was looking at all vehicles in transit to my dealership. Out of all of them, one of them did not have any recall. It finished production on October 12th, about 2 weeks after mine. Mine's currently at port in CA with the RAM enhancement (finished production Sept 27).

This may mean that they are actually sorting out more cars right at the factory.

I feel like it may go in waves. If I recall correctly, back in August and earlier September production, there were a ton of cars afflicted with the camera and RAM stop sales. Then, a bit further into September, I started hearing that they had the parts at the factory, and were building cars without the stop sales. But I guess by the time mine, and yours, rolled off the line, those parts had been used up, so we got stuck with stop sales.

Just like they were apparently clearing cars quickly at the US VPCs earlier in October, but I'm guessing that the cars that got quickly taken care of at the NJ VPC when the Azul Ace arrived on 10/22, for example, used up the parts then on hand, resulting in the rest of us from that vessel sitting and waiting until the next batch arrives. (And perhaps at the factory, they got a batch of parts a week or two after our cars were finished). My guess is that they'll run out again, and there will be weeks of production in November that have various stop sales again...

Has there been any movement on the RAM issue at Baltimore VPC since Lexura’s car got there in early October? Is everyone’s car that got there around the same time still stuck? There just isn’t much data out there and I would be shocked if literally no cars have moved at that VPC since then
