Considering I don't have carbon seats.. Could it be laser lights then? They did remove it from the exec pack for 2022.

They did something similar on the X5 in 2021 where they stripped out the HK sound system from the X5 exec package. And then later made it standalone before it disappeared altogether. All within the same model year.

Just called and still in Week 37 (scheduled for production) which is obviously nonsense. I’m not sure why they haven’t just moved me yet since no way I’m hitting that target

I wonder if *any* week 37 people have moved beyond “scheduled for production”…

I’ve been week 37 for a month now. I just called BMW NA and they said now I’m week 43!!!!. That’s crazy. Imagine I don’t get the car this year because of delays .

Ugh this sucks for everyone, suddenly my delay from week 37 to week 40 doesn't seem so bad after all...

I got a suspicion all these delays have been calculated based on order date/time. So even if you had a dealer allocation before person X, if you ordered after person X you have now been re-adjusted to a production week in that order.

For reference, I ordered on June 18th, spec: M3CX AWD, full leather interior, regular seats, M carbon exterior pack, parking assistant plus, laserlights

I’m thinking the same thing. Scheduled for production for over a month now.

Maybe it’s based off of that but I think it’s 100% about having no parts.

This is pure speculation & misinformation.

I actually spoke to BMW Genius and my dealership (the biggest one in the country), they can confirm that no specific parts/packages are causing a delay. It seems to be a scheduling issue on BMW's end to ensure there are parts available for when your car ACTUALLY goes into production. What's the point of having an earlier build week if supply cannot match the production?

I have all the carbon options and Parking Assistance packages, by the way.

Well you’re 50% right. Meaning it was pure speculation on my part not misinformation. Don’t you have to have information first before you can miss use it?

The second part of your post is very confusing. If it’s not a parts problem then why did you go on to say “to ensure there are parts available for when your car ACTUALITY goes into production”? didn’t I “speculate” in the first place it’s a parts problem? Perhaps you could clarify what you meant. And no offense to your genius but they are generally entry level BMW employees that basically look stuff up on computers. Believe me I truly hope you’re right.

So I called the Genius hotline and they are adamant that it will finish production in week 37 (mid-September). They are highly confident this will hold because it's so close.

They even looked at the history of the production number and said that this was originally a week 31 slot (early August). This was never disclosed to me before so I'm not mad about that.
Ha... so the automated system now doesn't want to tell me anything and tried to redirect to a real person (I called after-hours so that went nowhere).

I guess my date's slipped from 37 given that it's still stuck in 'Order received' after slipping back to that from 'scheduled for production'.

I called today and they said that I am now week 38. Not too bad but I hope it won’t get delayed anymore.

My car now has an estimated completion date of 9/15. My allocation was initially a week 35 build, then an estimated completion date of 9/7, now it's 9/15. Been at the production begins stage for awhile

So this tells me that even when production begins your actual completion day can shift by weeks. Nothing is safe anymore lol

Yes, mine sat in the paint booth for two weeks and more recently been at the port in Bremerhaven for two weeks. The process seems to go through quick bursts followed by long waits. Settle in, it'll be a while, unless Lady Luck is on your side.

Edit: mine did finish last minute on the estimated day but it looked like it might slip. Others in week 34 (my build week) weren't so lucky.

Yup. He also said to take my new estimated completion date with a grain of salt. It can shift sooner (yeah right), or later.
