Hi all,

Finally made up my mind after spending much time on the configurator and Individual visualizer on exterior colours.

Went back and forth from Oxford Green, Malachite Green Dark, Macao Blue and Tanzanite Blue, and finally decided that I'm not a green car kinda guy and will go for Macao Blue as I already have had a Tanzanite on Silverstone F80 Comp.

I think Macao will be a rather dynamic colour and depending on the lighting will have different hues in it on the M3.

I want to go carbon seats as I think these really make the interior more special and after having some seat time, they feel good and snug as well.

I really like the Kyalami Orange for the interior but I'm not sure this will work very well with the Macao Blue.

I don't want to go with a black interior, so that leaves Silverstone, which I already had. This will be a much cooler combo than the bolder Orange.

What do you guys think about the Macao/KO combo?

I know this is a very personal matter and I should just go with my own feeling, but I do appreciate the input of fellow M enthousiasts and bold combo's sometimes really work.

Here's an idea: I think Macao would go great with Fjord Blue leather.

BMW did a similar combo on the F80 M3 30 Jahre Edition.

I really didn't like the Fjord Blue on the 30 years, the combo with the Silverstone inserts was nicer in my eyes.

Silverstone, if not Fjord Blue or (since you ruled out standard seats) Tartufo. For a bolder choice, why not Yes Marina Blue?

The Yas Marina would definitely be very bold, but not a fan.

Honestly, I don't see why KO wouldn't go well with Macao Blue. Although, I would prefer Tartufo if I would go in this color direction.

Silverstone is one of my favourite interior colors (if only the maintenance wasn't there), so that would definitely be a great choice, too. But I guess I don't need to tell you that since you already have it on your F80.

For me personally, I think the Yas interior only looks good on the SPY. I had originally had my mine set on the Fiona red interior. But it was not allowed on a 21. On a 22 it became a standard option. But after seeing it in person Im glad they did not allow it as the black with carbon buckets looks way better on my Dravit car.

What about Fiona Red. I think that would go well with the Macao blue.

I think KO would go just fine with your color choice.

However, I do think the buckets in Silverstone look damn good…but I may be a bit biased.

I did Frozen Portimao blue and wasn't sure Kyalami would go good with the color and I'm convinced it goes great with any freaking color lol

I was in a similar boat on my Enzian blue order. I really like the KO interior but thought it wouldn’t go well with my exterior so I went with silverstone. That said, Macao is much darker so I think it could pull off KO, however my bias opinion is still to go for silverstone 😃

I think silverstone would look better with the blue you are going for. KO looks very good, I actually have the KO with buckets in my Brooklyn Grey but if I were to do your build I would go silverstone as my first choice. KO second choice

No. Definitely not Silverstone with Macao.

Because that's what I want Could be ordering soon.

BTW, considering holding fire as Macao could be available soon at a lower cost as one of the 50th anniversary colours.

Re KO, I think it could work quite well. Mind Macao looks like this IRL and not what the Visualiser does.

A lot of these individual colors look their best and in their most distinctive form in bright sunlight. It's good to know what they look like when overcast, but that's not the full story. Just do an image search on your favorite search engine - there are plenty of photos in the lights that show it with a blue-purple hue.

I would go with silverstone. Adding KO makes the build messy with too many different clashing colors. Macao blue + black accents + carbon fiber + orbit grey wheels + red calipers + Orange seats…it’s going to be busy.

Funnily enough I was debating Macao over Fjord, or Velvet over Tartufo.

Ultimately went with the latter.
