So I bought the remote start option from the connected drive store last night. I got a confirmation earlier today asking me to update the apps on the car. I did it a few times but I still don't see the option to remote start the car. I went into the climate settings to see if the remote start check box was available but no dice. Anyone have any pointers before I give them a call?

I believe it needs a full software update, not just app update. You should see update available, then park the car and do over the air update. takes 20 min.
I would do it in the dealer parking lot in case smth goes wrong, since there is no back up or going back if it fails.

Sorry I forgot to follow up on this. Shortly after I posted this, I did the software update and everything is working as expected!
