You could get Santorini or one of the other similar beautiful blues and then you'd still be the only one in town. And, then I could finally see one in person. SMB looks beautiful though. It was up there in my list of the blues I considered. I'm looking forward to seeing yours.

If I can try and further your point to help Hotflare in an unbiased as possible way granted that it's my car...

I knew I wanted one of the blues and it was a tough choice after BMW denied the Laguna Seca that I'm still pining over. I picked Enzian based on as good of info as I could get via the internet and then, I finally got to see it in person when I picked it up and was verklempt.

Yes, it's blue, but (here's the attempt at being unbiased) there is just something special and unique about this blue compared to any other blue I've seen. It's blue, but it has a little extra something added in - a little purple or turquoise or something. I was told that it was more special than YMB that I previously owned from a dealer that has a video of their F82 in Enzian which I watched way too many times. Again, I didn't really understand until I saw it in person. It's just really unique. I think likely the same thing can be said for Santorini and Voodoo. Maybe someday I'll get to see one in person and find out.

Haha seeing your car really did open my mind up a lot to doing something like those shade of blues and one of those will be very high on my list for the car after this M3 but I've been wanting SMB for so long that if I don't get it I would probably regret doing something else (even if I love it) again.

For sure, it would be pretty amazing to have a large line up of nothing by the individual blues. When these damn allocation issues clear up and people actually get their cars it might be worth trying to make happen somewhere.

Well, I'll be at one of those M Driver's Package training days at some point next year assuming we aren't all living in domes to protect the sane from anti-vaxxers and wildfires by then.

What part of Canada are you in? They are having stuff at the Indy 500 track. We could all meet there at an event. Perhaps not as helpful if you are British Columbia.

Did your window sticker have $4500 against the color? I'll know what the situation is when I eventually get my car. Since I know I'll see the car and the sticker before I walk into financing, I'll deal with it then. It'd be bizarre if my window sticker legitimately says $5000.
