You are spot on. The 20 hp bump….it is literally 100% unnoticeable. I suspect this is because the engine dyno numbers suggest this engine is putting out well above 520 hp before the official bump was announced. The LCI actually making noticeably more power than pre-lci. I agree 20hp is negligible, but in BMW fashion, they are being conservative and they really added more like 40-60hp. We've seen dyno and dragy runs showing the LCI is out performing pre-LCI. The LCI G83 seems to be the biggest gainer, that thing must be making CSL power because it's shown some crazy acceleration times for something that is heavier and less aero dynamic than it's G82 brother.

Your experience is different than mine albeit mine was on surface roads not the track. In normal driving under 100 mph, I couldn’t feel the difference. I don’t dispute the difference in power is legitimate, I just can’t feel it under normal, but aggressive driving.

Yeah I think the conditions certainly play into it, they have to be good enough to take advantage of any power gains.
