I will confirm the weld on the front turbo inlet is a little thick you will have to place the the bolt all the way in the inlet flange and then begin to tighten … fyi. No need to file anything down. Let me know if you guys have any questions.
Thanks for the post.
I also have the MST single side intake and I’ve been extremely underwhelmed by the sound of it.
Do you happen to have any videos of the sound difference?

Been interested in these for my G82 - are the actual MMX Inlets larger then OEM? I dont see any mention of it on any product pages.

Yes, the cross section is and you can see the variance in the pics, so there is a flow improvement.

Does this work with the Dinan intake system?

They work with any intake system that couples to the stock inlets.

Are you sure? R44 Product Description states "Fully compatible with OEM intake pipes, the MMX Intake Pipe Set (MMR11-1601), and most leading aftermarket systems, this kit includes everything you need for a simple, bolt-on installation." This would mean most intake systems that use OEM inlets it would still work with. as the diameter of the inlet is the same - even emailed R44 and they have confirmed this for me.

I have the BMS intakes on my car....which is a clip connector. Will any of these inlets work with them?

I have these inlets installed with my MAD carbon intake. With that said, I’m pretty sure the BMS can be installed as well. These inlets are compatible with most intakes that utilize the stock inlets.

Things sound like blow off valves.

Just the silicone couplers included in the MAD carbon intake kit.

Attachment 3850527
Looks like a CNC inlet that will fit on the stock intake and most aftermarket options

Well guys I actually put these inlets on the MMX Performance ones and now have WICKED "Bov" noises that were never there before!
Also 3-5% less waste gate duty 😎

Sure looks like the part that "fits" into the turbo housing has a machined opening that is a larger diameter than stock. At least from the pics.

Now, look like there are two main designs: the MMX which has the machined snout that fits into the turbo housing and the FTP, etc that does not have that. Just a flange. I'd guess the diameter of that is bigger and may/??? allow more flow. But that take is just from the pics...

There’s a small adapter plate that sandwiches between the turbo and the inlet on MST’s design.

Has anyone here who's fitted larger inlets and had their map tweaked to leverage, any feedback on what this has meant for dragy?

I understand that this one of the reasons why Evolve managed to achieve 9's 1/4m times on 93 (our 99ron), and 60-130 in 6.2s (that's going some for 93!) pump fuel, saying that lower wastegate duties allowed the turbo's to be pushed harder.

Great question about **any intake mod. While doing my tuning w/ PJT, I changed to a Mishi/intake - it has a one sided (lol) turbo snout/intake deal and Nick w/ PJT could tell that I'd made intake changes and adjusted "up" for it. I went from stock w/ drop-ins to that intake.

Would be great to see more tuning adjustments made for Eventuri or high flow inlets, instead of just some "whiz-bang" sounds on decel.

I’ve ordered the Mmx inlets with drop in filters. Waiting on midpipe and I’ll book in for AT unlock and stage 2 tune, will have dragy figures too.
