Tbh, I prefer them to the auto controls because you can control them without looking, and also fine tune how much air goes to each vent type (floor, front, windshield). Agree not as pretty as the auto controls.

$700 CAD??? That's crazy!
Lots of people in TO will do it for $400 or less (big brand shops closer to $400, some independents may do it as low as $250-300) |

I'm not sure if he uses 4D or 5D or something else... but I know those are two similar products which may be found on eBay. I do know that the stuff he uses is good though, and he did a great job of installing mine.

It looks like a Vvivid vinyl's Tech Art series. Did my interior trim with it. Harder to work with than the regular 3m vinyls cuz it's thicker. Also it's a good idea to post heat your work. It remprograms the vinyls "memory" to the form it is currently in. This assures less lift from the substrate. Their website has a video that explains it.
