Based on my observation, either your pad is not greased on the outer edges that in contact with the caliper or your installer used force to insert the pin.
I noticed a dent on the guide pin hole. I will check my stocks at the office tomorrow morning to confirm how it is in new condition.
Youre a freakn legend for reaching out to me - I truly appreciate it.

My understanding (please correct me if Im wrong) with the pins is that after the caliper assembly is placed back into the rotor, the pads shift around in that process since it's a tight fit and the installers need to manipulate the pads a bit for the pin to fit from one end to the other.

As for greasing, are you able to show me exactly where they should have greased a bit better?

Additionally, are the pads side specific (Drivers vs passenger) - no mechanic has confirmed this

Here attached on where to grease.

Yes, you do need to manipulate the pads to get the pin to slide through easily.
But in no mean to force the guide pin by force to slide through the holes.
You slide the pins with caliper off the car or on the car.
Per BMW process, pads need to be installed with pins on the caliper while the caliper’s off the car.

Also, the front pads no side specific.
Only the rear has inner and outer designation.

Thank you for the reply, I have been told from isweep japan to provide a serial number to prove the pads are isweep 1500s. Unfortunately I dont have the box with me anymore- besides taking the car back to the mechanic, is there another waycto prove that these are isweeps? I already sent through details of the seller/distributor

Yea, I saw the email too. Let's keep the communication in one platform.
iSweep doesn't have access to the forum.
You do need to pull out the brake pad and send picture of the back plate where it has the serial# and type.
We'll continue the communication in the email.
This is a bit tough since we don't know where your reseller purchase it from since none of us have a record about it.
I know that China been doing their China things with other products, so I don't want this to be a new thing that China is getting into.

Hey I am happy to forward the email to you - would you be able to supply me with your email address? What they have mentioned is that it was exported from isweep directly to RG Sport so that they can’t provide any support.

Is there an issue with grease being applied to the black backing plate where the pistons touch? I have had both installers do that with installations.

Email to sales@rgsport.com.
On the front, you are not supposed to put grease on the back plate where the pistons touch. Only on the edge touching the caliper.

I have to cut heatshink tubes in half, glue them on top and bottom of the pads to have a snug-fit into the calipers to stop the noise.
