I'm considering ordering front springs for my G80 6MT. It sounds like 11-20-049-03-FA is fine as long as it comes with the lower bump stops. Or does it need bump stops and the sleeve?

Hey all- whats the final verdict with these? Are there still issues? Which ones to order which ones not to order? If you are RWD you want he AWD springs?

I got this from Eibach today. I went ahead and ordered the RWD springs. Will update once they are installed.

“The E10-20-049-11-20 has split tubing that has been added to the progressive coils, so there shouldn't be any noise from the front springs in the newer batches. If you installed the AWD front springs you would net approximately a 1/2" less drop on a RWD model.”

Why do they need the tubing anyways ? Springs shouldnt bind/touch? Unless I’m uneducated and I missed something.

Does H&R have them ?

The RWD springs are progressive and the AWD look to be linear. The closer section of a progressive spring will intentionally coil bind and then increase the spring rate. This should result in a better ride quality. I unsure why Eibach chose to have different style springs between RWD and AWD.

So what’s the harm exactly if someone runs awd springs on a rwd manual car? If any ?

No harm other than less of a drop. 1.0” vs 0.5”

Thanks for the update. Did your kit include new bump stops (Part No: BS770014) and the spring sleeves?

It sits perfect!

Both my wife and I can’t tell a difference in ride quality from stock springs. No noises or anything. Large speed bumps will be a concern but that’s with any lowered vehicle.

I also added spacers at the same time. 15mm front and 12mm rear. No rubbing with PS4S tires.

Sounds pretty good! Do you have more pictures lowered?

I didn't find your kit on Eibach Europe, maybe is it a special version for US (but that would be strange &#129300?

Here’s the sicker on the box. I’ll try to get some more pictures of the car later today.

PS- nice to see someone else in the foxbody world. I just sold my black coupe that had a 363 and a blower. Now I want for my m3 to arrive.

How’s it going so far? I had the issues with clunking but wondering if I had the old batch. Did yours come with bumpstops?

No problems so far. Driven about 4000 miles. These came with bump stops and sleeves.
