Spot on . But at this moment in that Frankenstein car P2 would be a true miracle .
McLaren is untouchable and Mercedes and Ferrari will be faster .
This means the RB21 is the 4th fastest car and even Alpine improved a lot.
At P2 he won't lose too much WDC points and that gives them more time to find upgrades that really work .
Probably they will use YUKI as a test mule at Jeddah to test some new Frankenstein stuff in the QF and race and store the data because the RB SIM correlation sucks anway .
The SIM data shows a setup for a 0.2 faster car . But at the track Frankenstein is a 0.5 sec. slower car with a neck-breaking balance and brakes .
And that will never work ...

Imagine if the Alpines had some horsepower. It's said the pathetic Renault power unit costs Gasly .3 sec. a lap (on avg.). MB power comes next year.

After a crunch FIA/teams meeting after the Bahrain race and away from the track it was decided that V6h PU's will go ahead in 2026 as its too late to pull out of that now, but for 2027 and onwards the situation may well change with further discussions and a return to V8's being mainly the target.

If you're serious about that, a city might be more coöperative to comply too.
I mean, an F1 factory generates a lot of money for the local economy.
I mean, the budget cap is tight, but every big F1 team has a shitload of money they can spend every year on goodies, promotional activities, maintenance of buildings etc etc. They have money to burn as long as it's not directly involved with car development and wages for people working on car development.
I think I saw reports back in late 2018 or early 2019 or so, before covid that they were already planning a new wind tunnel because their old one was not really up to standards anymore. And prognoses now is that it'll be finished well into 2026, so chances are that the base car for 2026 and 2027 will be crap too.
So it could cost them 3 titles....

I could fix F1. Keep the hybrid battery, but shrink the battery capacity and open up the amount of regen the can gain. Give drivers complete control over when they want to activate it (so no DRS zones) - Allow the battery to add X amount of power.

Shrink the size of the cars an addition 15% and if we really want to, shrink the motor to limit output. High revving V10/12 "Hybrids" that are smaller and lighter which means older courses could have more overtaking and more actual racing.

MAX can lose in 3 races a lot of WDC points + Miami has a sprint race where he can lose even more points .
Let's keep in mind , the Benz car improved a lot and they can finish in front of MAX.

Too bad . The BR21 is a sinking ship that began sinking in 2024...
The Frenchman Wache had 4 months to improve the RB21 and at this moment the car has no balance and no brakes (!)
It's like MAX has said : It's just ridiculous (!)

And the Million Dollar question is : Will the huge Imola RB upgrade really work ?
Last year the RB20 got 2 huge upgrades and I think 3 new floors, but that turned out in driving backwards .
If the RB21 Imola upgrades don't work like it should be, then It's too late (!)
Hopefully RB can improve the car , but even then it has to be enough to beat McLaren .
And I don't see that happening ..
