Yes my order is pretty normal - no individual paint, no carbon bucket seats.
My allocation started off in 112 - I was told they got it from another dealer. I think someone bailed on their order once it hit 112 and I got it just in time to lock in my own specifications |

150 here as well. Individual color no buckets . I’m pretty confused as we are still a month or so from production. I will call genius today for more info.

That’s what I was told! Like others have said, it’s weird (to me) that we’re getting VINs so earlier.
I called the Genuises yesterday and they said my car was being built, gave me a VIN, said it’ll be completed in about a week or two and then onto the port. So then I said “I thought you said it would be built in Week 36?” And their story fell apart. lol Personally, I think they got a chassis and all of the parts together and are waiting until September to assemble it, unlike what the Genius said. |

just got off the phone with a genius and she said that yes looks like some of us have earlier completion date and that it’s scheduled to be completed by sept 7ish or basically week 36. I dunno but let’s see what happens.

It's probably because of the August vacations. They're planning a head a bit further to accommodate that.

I am still in 112 for week 36. However, I changed to an Individual color yesterday morning, so that is being approved.
I will be pushed back, but I hope you all stay on track! |

With that said though, I have horrible luck and if I got 150 status, I know you will. You also have a lot of time I suspect. I think it’s weird people are getting VINs this early. If you don’t have a VIN by the last week in August, I’d be worried. |

You’re going to open a can of worms…lol
I literally had a huge post typed and deleted it because despite it being truthful, it sounded too negative. To summarize though, based on my personal experience, I am very disappointed in the knowledgeability (or lack theirof) and transparency of BWM associates including CAs and Geniuises. For the future, I learned: 1.) To go through a broker to get an allocation. The $800(ish) is ridiculously worth it, especially when it comes to avoiding the hassle of searching and waiting for an allocation. 2.) To come to BimmerPost to get my questions answered. Personal experience from owners like those here hold the most value, IMO. |
