I received mine yesterday. I would guess that if you don't have one by the end of the week you're likely bumped.

I agree with this, I think if we don't have a VIN by Monday we are getting bumped. Hopefully that's not the case and maybe they just haven't gotten to us yet 😢

The whole process is a mystery lol. I was bumped to week 17 when the factories shut, then pulled forward to week 16, then to week 15. Why pull me ahead to just eventually push me back….

It really makes no sense, no reason for them to justify that besides getting our hopes up. They need to get it together. Let's just hope we are all still week 15 and don't get any delays.

When you all are calling Genius, were they telling you your expected start week is week 15? Or completion? I called last night and spoke to a gentleman who knew more than anyone I spoke to, and he said my car should go begin production week 15. Is the week that shows up for them the start week or completion week, because according to this guy (Andrew) estimated completion date isn't posted until the car will begin production which for me he said is 4/11.

From everything we've seen on here, I would have expected you to get a VIN this week and then go into build next week, completing WITHIN week 15.

A genius is unlikely to spill the process to you but it is now widely known that you complete in your build week, but don't necessary begin in it.

Yes that seems to be the case, the build week is when the car will finish production....A VIN should be assigned 10-15 days before the build week unless the order is getting bumped to a later production date

Yeah I see, which in my opinion makes no sense. Build week should be the week it begins production. If I do wind up getting my Vin on the 15th week then maybe he's right, I don't know what to believe at this point, I just want my car 😂

Just a quick FYI - I was week 16 up until yesterday. I just called today and the genius said I am now week 15 which is April 10-16. I still do not have a vin though.

Did they say whether that's the week it's supposed to start or finish production? Every Genius I've been speaking to has been saying that's the week it's supposed to start production.

They said that would be the start week. I guess that has changed because it seems in previous build weeks that used to be the completion date? Who knows.

Was told the same thing. Which honestly makes more sense. So I guess I won't be expecting a VIN until week of 4/10.

Lol I promise you it's the week of completion! For some reason, we're not really supposed to know that little piece of info about the build weeks, so they just tell you that your build is starting on your build week.

A lot of week 15ers (per genius build start of Week 15) have already got the VIN...so that proves they will be completing production/assembly in week 15. I just happen to read week 13 thread and their cars have been dispatched from factory or finishing production this week...

I believe you, considering everyone was given the same date and entered this thread it makes sense to me. The way I see it is if by Monday I don't have a VIN, I'll call and ask and if I got bumped then there's the answer. If I'm still "week 15" and wind up getting my VIN during week 15, then maybe Genius had a point. But from what I'm seeing, it's looking like it's week of completion.

Yeah fair point. I genuinely would have expected you to have gotten a VIN this week, going off of what myself and others have experienced recently. Hopefully you'll get one assigned first thing Monday.

I'm not sure how Geniuses work stateside, but in the UK we tend to use Live Chat. Every time I ask for confirmation on a piece of info we shouldn't really know, I got kicked out that chat 😂. If I stuck to their script, the chat would go on for as long as I wanted it to.

Production week is the week the car is expected to FINISH production.. hence the week of "Production"

10-14 days prior you should receive your VIN
