Several Infotainment Problems
Hi all, owner of a 2023 Isle of Man Green M3 MY here - loving it.
Since the first few days of purchase, I have noticed issues with the infotainment system. About every 5th time I turn on the car, the bluetooth sound from my phone won’t work. When this happens, the enhanced exhaust sound through the speakers will also not work. Sometimes I can tell the exhaust sound goes on and off intermittently while driving. If I turn on the FM radio - that will work but occasionally without the subwoofer. 90% of the time, no problem. Hard to reproduce at the dealer. Anyone experiencing similar issues? |

When you say “hard to reproduce at the dealer”, are you saying your dealer actually examined the car and said they couldn’t reproduce?
Or that you’re assuming that they can’t help you because you don’t know how to reproduce it? You should take it to the dealer no matter what and explain what you’re experiencing. It is quite likely there are fault codes stored. And I’d expect there are diagnostics for things like this. It is also possible, BMW may have seen this problem before and be able to guide them to a resolution if needed:

Agree with kjx. I would also record from your phone the next few times getting in for a drive so you can show your dealer the issue if it maybe hard to reproduce.

The car went for the initial service but I didn’t mention it since it only had happened a couple of times then, but many more since.
I’ll take it to the dealer again. I wanted to find out if this was a significant fault meriting attention, or if it was just one of those things we all suffer in silence - a vicissitude of owning a BMW. |
