Summarizing the thread 10/16: digital key is present but there is no wireless charging in model year 2022. There is no doubt about this.

—————————-

I've 2021 X5 45e that I frequently use the digital key on since I don't want to carry multiple keys on me (my 2016 435i doesn't support it). It works great, 100% of the time.

With my 2022 M4 on order, since no one is getting the wireless charger (which is where you place the phone to start the car), does it mean there is no digital key functionality for 2022?

I've not been able to get much clarity on this searching the internet. It'd suck for 2022 to be a odd model year with 2023 possibly getting it back after chip shortages ease.
