LUX Angel Eyes install trouble. HELP!!

Hey.
I have the 2009 328i sedan. I believe it's the E92.
I am trying to install my new LUX multicolored H8's. The install manual and several youtube vid's show that my car should have this lid that just pops off to enter the top headlight area.
Well my car doesn't have this. On the drivers side, I actually have an air cleaner over the head light housing.
I feel like a complete dumbass, but what in the heck is going on?

If you have 2009 sedan, it is E90 LCI, not E92.

The AE cover is on the back, not the top like the E92s have. Round cover, twist to open (see snapshot).

Thanks MayMay. You're right. My lights look just like the image you posted. Looks like I will have to send these E92 compatibles back to LUX.
Thanks for you help.

The Lux H8s will work in the E92 and E90 too. You just need to find the right installation manual for E90, because the bulb locations are different.

As long as your car has xenon headlights already then you actually do have the right light already. http://luxangeleyes.com/guides/LUX_H...ll_E90_LCI.pdf This is the installation guide we have on our website already that shows how to install the lights on your model car.

No need to worry Please let me know if you have any questions

I just want to clarify. Am I going to have to take off the wheel and go through the wheel wells for this installation? I really cant see any way to just go through the top.

Nope not at all. If you look at the install guide it says that you only need to open the hood of the car and access the back of the headlight from there.

Sorry to bother.

I still haven't been able to figure this out. My headlight housings actually don't look like the image that MayMay posted.

My lights look just like these...

http://luxangeleyes.com/guides/LUX_E90_LCI_Halogen.pdf

So can I still use these LUX H8 V4 Adjustables in these housings?

Thanks for the help,

JCole

Yeah, in that case you will have to return those H8s. Lux makes a set for Halogens like yours, which I think look very good, they look like below.

Thanks MayMay.
I appreciate your help.
I did speak to the crew over at LUX. They helped to get me straight today.

I also ordered my replacement headlight bulbs today. I ordered the Philips Extreme Visions.

Now I just have to find a pair of replacement fog lights to match. (still need to find the correct model number)
