Quad diffuser, tips or muffler?

Hey guys,
If I wanted to get a mtech rear with a quad diffuser exhaust, getting tips would obviously be the cheapest rout. Would there be need for modification if I do tips? Would there be a change in exhaust tone?
If dual tip mufflers which would be the most reasonable priced good quality with a good deep throaty gurgly sound?

There's no aftermarket mufflers worth bothering with, only full exhausts, in my opinion. Your best bet is just to get tips. Any exhaust shop should be able to install them easily - cut the old ones off, weld the new ones on.

Theoretically the exhaust tone could change ever so slightly as sound is affected by the shape and material of what it passes through, but I doubt it would be perceptible.

I had Remus quad wioth Duke Dynamics diffuser. Duke Dynamics diffuser didn’t fit properly and the quad exhaust didn’t fit the diffuser. I replaced exhaust and diffuser with Inside Performance M3 style muffler and diffuser. Muffler is little louder than Remus but the diffuser fits the bumper and exhaust fits the diffuser.

Remus quad:

Thats exactly what id like to do same diffuser as well. So you bought just the mufflers and diffuser from them? When i go there it gives me the full exhaust system which is like 2g's.

You can get just the diffuser:
http://www.insideperformance.de/onli...roducts_id/181

or CF diffuser:
http://www.insideperformance.de/onli...roducts_id/182

This isn’t full exhaust system it’s just rear muffler and it isn’t cheap:

I have catless Supersprint exhaust. I took out Remus muffler and replaced it with Inside Performance muffler. It was a direct swap.

Ya I was actually thinking about getting a set of the cf quad tips from him. And what im probly going to do is the muffler mod. I found that to be the cheapest. I figured to wrap the perforated pipe and leave about 75% of the packing in. I heard a sound clip of it, and it sounds pretty good.

I noticed your exhaust is moved more towards the middle. Did that diffuser require any more modification to the mufflers? Can i do that with my stock mufflers? Asking because i think im going to order that diffuser but im also going to just go with tips and mod the muffler for the mufflers you have wouldnt benefit me being i havent put my dp's back on yet and dont plant on doing the x pipe or any other exhaust right now.
Although, once i get my wastegates figured out with bmw for the second time, then il put the dp's back on and probly go with those mufflers. I really do like your setup.

The exhaust is more to the middle than my previous Remus. I didn’t have to modify anything because I bought both muffler and diffuser from Insideperformance.

If I were to go with the quad tips rout but went the diffuser you have, you think I would have to modify the placement of the mufflers more centered to line up properly with the diffuser?
