What part shall I Plasti Dip?

Ok I ordered a can of Plasti Dip (SPRAY CANS AEROSOL 400ML FLEXIBLE) to see what all the fuss is about and why soo many people hate/love it...

Now that it's here I don't know what part of my car to test it on, Already have the gloss black kidney grill...

hmm my MV3 stock wheels?
any ideas would be appreciated...

I don't think there is much else to plasti-dip except the wheels.

window trim if your's is aluminium.

Since my car is AW, I even got my side reflectors black - gives it a very aggressive look.

Also, 335i emblem at the back is another option.

Good luck !!!

I just got done plasti-dipping my OEM 18s because the clearcoat was coming off. I use these wheels ONLY as my winter setup. Totally changed the look of the car though.

It doesn't have to be the car. I used some parts of my motorcycle.

I peeled all of my plastidip off after 1 month, texture worsened and the color aged to a dark brownish green color. Save yourself some time and just sell it to a guy with VTAK and a huge spoiler.

I havent seen this either. I purposely put plasti-dip on the winter wheels for my G35 coupe because they were so curbed up it looked horrible. The plasti-dip lasted all winter in salt, rain, dirt, etc. Never had an issue with discoloring or peeling. And I never had issues when washing the car/wheels. If you take your time and do it right, plasti-dip should be fine to use, in my opinion.

Sorry after looking in my gallery, I never took any really close up pictures of it.

I can only describe:
- the matte black color lightened up as time went by, it looked dirty even after a good wash
- the texture, was never good to begin with, became rougher and rougher
- wash mit felt like crap over them

Here is a link to a poll I made with pictures, you can see how light the matte black became: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=871355

Just wanted to point out that if you do your rims, you will need at least four cans. When applying plasti dip there should be around five to six coats applied to make it easy to peel.
