definitely doesn't seem right... maybe try pulling them out again and making sure they're seated straight. If that's how they are, then i'd return them and go with something else; that looks like crap.

Sometimes it's positioning

One trick is to mimic Oem light as it is pulled out

I know that is hindsight

Try repositioning

Thus is the mtec Cree led with 4 led??

It has to be positioning. There is only one bulb per side so if one ring lights up, it can't be the bulb, it has to be the way it was installed.

By repositioning. I did not mean to imply entrance and withdrawal

But rather once unit is in, you turn it

Some try to turn all the way possible

Some memorize Oem position during removal

That turn can be critical in achieving optimal luminescence in both rings

It definitely has to be the positioning. I also have the mtech angel eyes and they light up with equal brightness.

I think it has to be the positioning as well. Just installed the latest mtec on mine about a month ago. The should look equally bright. Double check the alignment. Make sure that the plastic piece that goes between the bulb and the headlight housing itself is not blocking one of the LEDs.
They should look more like this: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=713353
Obviously a different vehicle but you get the point.
