definitely doesn't seem right... maybe try pulling them out again and making sure they're seated straight. If that's how they are, then i'd return them and go with something else; that looks like crap.

I think it has to be the positioning as well. Just installed the latest mtec on mine about a month ago. The should look equally bright. Double check the alignment. Make sure that the plastic piece that goes between the bulb and the headlight housing itself is not blocking one of the LEDs.
They should look more like this: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=713353 Obviously a different vehicle but you get the point.
