Thumbs up Check Out this E9xx Storage Net Solution

So, In my quest to find more storage options for my E92, I came upon this BMW OEM Passenger Footwell Storage Net - not made specifically for E9xx cars (I think it's originally for E34/E36 Z3), but I took a chance & ordered it anyway.

Turned out it worked great

The clips simply 'screw' into the carpet on the side of your front console, then the net snaps into place using the clips. It could be removed and you would never know it had been installed. Along top edge of net is heavy elastic cord.

Part numbers:

Net - 51 47 2 261 407
Clips - 51 47 2 263 062 (Need Qty. 6/Ea)

Installed pics:

Total cost is $18.27 & the install takes all of about 3 min

Footwell Storage Net

I have this in my e91 335i. Had it in my e46 M sport 4 dr 1st and transferred it across after getting the 335 touring and before selling my sedan.

Nice mod and it works a treat

Op, great mod. I think I'm going to try that.

Where did you get the CF trim around the shifter and cup holders? Do they make anything like that in aluminum finish?

They are part of one of those hi end dash kits - I liked the look of the factory wood, but wanted some CF accents also. It was the only thing I could find that was made to replace items OTHER than the normal wood trims.

There's much more to the kit that isn't showing in pics (and some items I decided not to use).

And they do make the same kit in aluminum (as well as a couple other finishes). I'll have to look back to see mfg. of kit and where I got it from.

I know one thing I DIDN'T get it from eBay

Would be a great addition to my e93 as a quick place to stow stuff so it doesn't fly around and/or out with the top down. Thanks for the part numbers.

Exactly why I wanted this. I frequently have work documents setting on my seat and have to weigh them down with something to keep them from flying out either the window or roof. Now I can stick them in this net and they'll stay put

I know this is an old thread, but you say you need 6 clips?
But I see only 4 on the photos... could you confirm quantity please?

-Thanks!

Actually, BMW already has a custom fit net that installs on PS interior trunk trim:

51477131152 NET BAG
61219158226 WAVE WASHER - D=5,7

You can see it in the 3rd & 4th pics

Sorry but is this all e90/e92 OEM trunk accessories? Would you mind describing them or even include the part numbers?

Wow, Mr. Safety . Pretty impressive list. I think I want to do the bag holders and maybe the first aid kit.

What is the difference between these? They look the same on google images

If I remember well, the 1st number is the bag holder itself with the scalloped edge, and the mount is the kit with studs & hardware to mount it to the rear deck...
