Few Lighting Upgrades on my E90
Hey guys,
So it's 1 in the morning, I got off work at 10:30PM. Ever since I've been working on installing all of these lights. I have no prior experience with any of this stuff or anything involving cars as a matter of fact, lol. I'm surprised that I even managed to do this much honestly. My lights came in the mail today and I was so anxious to put them on that I put half of them on before work and just finished up recently. My LCI e90 has factory halogens unfortunately, so my options were quite limited in terms of what angel eyes I could put on. Anyways, so I purchased WeissLicht Angel Eyes, WeissLicht LED PY24W Turn Signals (to get rid of that hideous orange bulb), and WeissLicht Smoked Side Marker Bulbs (didn't like the look of the white side marker on my black car). Lol talk about a complete WeissLicht upgrade. Anyways, there were no DIY guides for my LCI e90 angel eyes, so I had to figure it out myself, but it all worked out. The passenger side was really easy because there was plenty of space but the driver's side was a BITCH to do. I ended up unbolting the two bolts on the side of the air box just so I could move it a little to get into the driver side light. Installing the smoked side markers and turn signals was easy, even though the driver side turn signal LED gave me such a hard time because it wouldn't clip into place. Let me know if I did okay because it was my first time doing anything car-related CAN'T WAIT FOR MY GLOSS BLACK GRILLES TO GET HERE! Error-free, and overall, I was very happy with all of the results Here are some pictures (Sorry they're from my iPhone): |

And I really didn't know that there was a difference between lights back then, so Oh well, I know exactly what I want for my next car though. It actually wasn't as much work as I thought it was going to be, the unit was plug and play, but installing it was the hard part haha. Lol yeah man! You thinking about giving them a shot? |

LCI halogens AND xenons come with angel eyes from the factory. Those weisslicht units will work on pre-LCI xenon headlights and LCI halogens (with an adapter plate). But don't buy the marked up weisslicht units. They are re-branded 6W LED units that can be found for $60. Google "6W E90 LED angle eyes"....you'll get a few hits. But like I mentioned, these will NOT work on pre-LCI halogens. |

Your lights won't get any brighter by just swapping a bulb in. You'll need an HID kit and projectors. Look into Depo Projectors or P90s.....you can upgrade to angel eyes too.
Remember, the higher the temperature of the bulb, the less light output. OEM is 4300k. I would go with 5000k for pure white. Anything higher than 5000k, you lose alot of light output/it will be dimmer than your halogens. If you're just talking about color, go with a 5000k halogen bulb. |

Your lights won't get brighter, but they will get a white/light blue color instead of the yellow at the same brightness level. You could order the same H7s for your car but you would need the H11s for your fogs. Good luck. Thanks I love them so far! Hopefully no problems in the future! |

Great work, kudos for figuring it out yourself!
A nice set of angels really sets off your Bimmer.

I think the listing below are the same bulbs for the LCI lights on the http://www.bimmian.com/cart/add-to-cart.htm?item[]=LHU909WH2 site, but one third the price.
