M-Sport Aero Package Retrofit
Has anyone swapped their OEM front/rear bumpers for an M-Sport kit? Is the hardware an exact swap or will I need something else?
Thanks |

The OEM kit should bolt right on. I will let you know as mine will be here on Tuesday.

Actually no, you need to buy alot more parts than you think.
Front: under shield, brake ducts, fender liners etc Rear: bumper support, maybe under panel...not sure Edit: here's the the parts list for an e92 front, double check what your bumper came with but if it's a bare bumper then you need most of these parts 63-17-7-839-866 FOG LIGHTS, RIG 1 63-17-6-906-915 FILLISTER HEAD 4 51-74-8-045-348 AIR DUCT FRONT 1 51-74-8-045-363 FRONT LEFT BRAK 1 51-74-8-045-364 FRONT RIGHT BRA 1 51-75-8-046-333 UNDERHOOD SHIEL 1 51-11-8-041-179 GRID, CENTER 1 51-11-8-041-181 GRID LATERAL LE 1 51-11-8-041-182 GRID LATERAL RI 1 63-17-7-839-865 FOG LIGHTS, LEF 1 51-71-8-045-399 COVER, BOTTOM L 1 51-71-8-045-400 COVER, BOTTOM R 1 51-11-8-044-377 SUPPORT, FOG LA 1 51-11-8-044-378 SUPPORT, FOG LA 1 51-75-8-045-386 ADAPTER STRIP, 1

I stand corrected. I thought the kit came with everything you needed!

Rocker panels/side skirts and rear bumper are an easy and direct swap with no extra parts needed. Front bumper was a PITA b/c I bought the bumper cover separately thinking I could save some money not knowing all the additional parts needed. If I were to do it over, I would have gone directly to LTBMW or Tischer. Just my $0.02. |

Yeah if your looking to replace them all i would buy it as a package from Tisher. Thats what I did and you get brand new parts for everything.

Since he said an M-sport kit, I assumed he meant from Tischer or someone. Mine is coming from Tischer and is getting put on by the shop that is painting it.

I did mine and for the most part, nothing is interchangeable... even the liner under the car. There are also vents, clips, etc... all are different. New fog lamps and housing was also all new.

Not sure about the e90 but i needed those for my e92. Did you do it yourself? If you had a shop do it, better check your under panels and see if everything lines up...for sure your brake ducts do not match up since you have to cut a plastic surround to make the mtech ducts fit

ok so instead of starting another thread i'll ask my question here. I'm looking around to buy an m-sport bumper (im just trying to find an aw one so I dont need to paint it) and i thought this would be a direct swap. Apparently its not or it is? I have an e90 like zoraster.
Khaye you said you needed the other stuff for e92 models but can anyone confirm if you need anything else besides the bumper, fogs, grills, and mesh for an e90 stock to m-sport front bumper conversion? just trying to clear things up sorry |

+1 on this ^, but I'd rather by the actual parts than risking rocks kickin up in my engine bay and I want my brakes getting the proper air flow. Here's the "required" parts for an e90 according to tischer's site
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...47&startrow=26 Edit: here's a good write up for the e92 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=441532

Yea, the msport front bumper retrofit is a pain in the butt, at least for the E92. I just slapped on the aero lip and called it a day. The sideskirts and rear bumper are painlessly easy, I will do those soon.
