I Need The HPFP Recall

Hey guys... I called BMW service just now and found out I am eligible for the HPFP recall. I have the JB3 2.0 in my car now and the BMS DCI..

I would imagine the JB3 needs to be taken out.. what about the DCI??

Also, is anyone able to clear any codes I might have?

The appointment is scheduled for April 16th so I have some time.

Thanks!

Joe

I always take my tune off prior going to the dealer. I've left my DCI on the last 2 visits. SO far so good, but it really depends on your dealership.

Do you guys think I will need any codes cleared? I've been running the JB3 on map 5.

i don't think you will have an issue with codes...i wouldn't be too worried about it if i were you

the hpfp has been dying in tons of stock 335i's...

I just had my car service for the very last time at Rallye. I had the HPFP & "programming" recalls done. I presume they will re-program your car with the hpfp recall which would clear all the codes.

Call any BMW service center and they will ask for the last 7 of your VIN.

I had my HPFP replaced at 65K, i also had the JB3 and DCI on my car. Just take everything out so you wont have any problems, no need to clear any codes.

When they update the program, it will erase the coding. You will have to get your car coded again.

Mine was "never" updated...it was in 07 original condition..that's why i didn't have any issues for all these years...

Maybe yours is in current firmware...

do you need the programing updated? I just got fuel injectors and the new fuel pump, I have a jb4 and dci, downpipes, told them I'll bring it back for programing once I disconnect the jb4. Car seems fine though, should I just leave as is, or wait till I get a problem?

I oringally brought my car in for a brake job and they talked to me into the fuel pump recall, but I wasn't having problems previously.

I have a 07 335i and so far the only problem I had was the turbos how they used to rattle. They sent me the letter about a recall on the software that may cause me to fail inspection due to pollution lol.
Anybody thinks that this is necessary ? I don't want to go through the hassle of taking stuff out and then getting my car reflashed by giac if it's not needed
